How to Feel Great Throughout the Holiday Season!

I absolutely LOVE the Christmas holidays! The gatherings, the glowing lights, the wreaths, the sparkly decorations, warms fires, musical cheer and best of all the food! Ooooh the food! This is the time of the year where I allow myself to enjoy those special treats. Everyone has their own personal favorites and mine range from gingerbread to pancakes, stuffing, eggnog, mulled wine and hot cocoa! Delicious! Inevitably, I end up with some indigestion. The holiday season typically results in the worst period of time for digestion and weight gain – cue the booing – and we pay for it through January. So how can you avoid the holiday season hangover without completely depriving yourself of all the things you love?

Natural Head Lice Prevention

Every.parents.nightmare. The mere thought of head lice causes my scalp to suddenly get itchy and my skin to feel like it’s crawling with these creepy crawlies. I feel infested nooooo! They appear seemingly out of nowhere and do not discriminate. If you’re human and have hair on your head, you’re in their sights (shudders). Thankfully they aren’t interested in your pets and more good news, they don’t jump they crawl and are transferred only by direct contact and from sharing grooming tools, personal items or from physical contact. Lice also don’t carry any bacteria or viruses.

The summer holidays are coming to an end already and the kids are going back to school soon or maybe starting daycare. Whatever the case may be, it’s the time of the year where everyone starts coming home with random viruses. Cue the fevers, coughing, sneezing, copious mucousy runny noses and maybe even vomiting.
